Saturday, April 20 2024, a dedication mass was held for the St. Francis of Assisi Kabil Parish, presented by Bishop Adrianus Sunarko, OFM, Bishop of the Diocese of Pangkalpinang.
This mass was a blessing mass for the new St. Francis of Assisi Church in Batam and a renewal of the priestly promises of the priests in the Diocese of Pangkalpinang. Before the mass began, a ribbon was cut as a symbol of the inauguration of the new church. The bishop also blesses the church doors and keys before entering the church building.
This mass was attended by Kabil parishioners and invited guests from Batam, Jakarta and Singapore. Mass songs were presented by the San Jose Choir of Batam.
